Mission Statement
The Religious Education and Faith Formation of St. Mary Mystical Rose is called to continue to sow the "Good News of Jesus Christ". In following the mission of Jesus to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations", we feel that our responsibility in today's world is to bring the message of Jesus to all people of our parish family. It is our hope that through an intergenerational, "whole church" approach to catechesis and through a variety of methods that we will be able to assist people on their "Journey of Faith" through worship, prayer, education, service and sharing.
Faith Formation
Adult Faith Formation:
The general directory for Catechesis tells us in article 59, that Catechesis for adults must be considered the chief form of Catechesis. With this in mind we offer opportunities throughout the year for ongoing formation for adults to enrich their faith life, through education, reflection and sharing. Check calendar for dates.
Family Faith:
Our ministry in the parish is to support the parents as primary teachers of the faith. With that in mind we have implemented a Family Faith program where parents and children come together once a month. Through lecture, discussion, role playing, scripture, and faith sharing, we hope to continue our journey of formation in the faith.
The aim of the Family Faith Formation Program is to have our parishioners understand that learning about their faith is a life-long journey.
RCIA:
The RCIA (Rite of Christinan Initiation of Adults) process is for adults (unbaptized, baptized in another church, baptized Catholic but have not received Confirmation/Eucharist) culminating in reception of the Sacraments at Easter Vigil. The RCIA group meets on Mondays at 7 PM.
